Last month a surveillance camera in Philadelphia captured horrifying images of a food truck exploding around a group of customers (video below). The event ultimately killed two people, injured 11, and called into question the safety of food trucks in the national media. According to media reports, the explosion was caused by fractured propane cylinder on the truck.
In light of this recent event the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) will be hosting a free online webinar on August, 14th, in an effort to raise awareness about propane tank safety and provide some tips for ensuring your vehicle is safe. This webinar is being delivered specifically to members of the mobile food industry.
