  • Description

This 2012 Freightliner was built out to a top of the line food truck in 2016 by C.R.A.F.T. Mobil Food Units in Houston.  Van specs include spacious 18 ft cargo area, roll up rear door, diesel motor, and automatic transmission. Amenities include 48” flat griddle, 2-burner hot plate, steam table, deep fryer, 19 cu ft. refrigerator, air conditioning (2-15K btu units), Cummins diesel generator. Our company, Melted, was all things grilled cheese served to the city of Austin.  We received much press coverage and became highly sought after because our menu was unique and delicious, and our profits were donated to charity. This was a social entrepreneurship project for our high school aged daughter at the time.

The chef and staff found the truck to be as good if not better than restaurant kitchens they had worked in.  There is plenty of room for 3 people to work in the cargo area, and the 2 air conditioning units brought the high temps down to a reasonable level in the Austin summer heat.   Melted was solidly booked for lunch and dinner vending, in addition to SXSW gigs, breweries, late night clubs, and many other Austin-based festivals and events. Our mobile mechanic was on call and stayed on top of all maintenance.  The total investment we have in building this truck is $130,00, and we are asking $95,000 sale price.  Only serious email inquiries please.
